Sanskriti - Day 2
Sanskriti Day 2 - 15/9/22
After a gap of one day to accommodate for Genesis 2022, everyone was roaring to get back and show their talents on Sanskriti Day 2.There were a lot of events lined up for day 2, all starting at 5 pm.

| Western Solo Dance |
The day started off with the Western Dance Solo event, that took place at NLH9. The dancers performing their various styles had a few minutes to show their talents to the judges. The enthusiastic participants practiced their moves, waiting for their slots to be called. One after another, the dancers took to the stage in order to showcase their skills. The sound of their talented performances echoing in the walls. Everyone performed brilliantly, in spite of a few technical glitches.
The award for first place was given to Sindhuja, a first year M.Pharm student and the second and third awards were given to Prastuti and Udisha, both of whom belonged to B.Pharm, in their third years.
The next event being held in Room 108 was that of Eastern Group Singing. It consisted of a superb medley of songs, with none of the participants relying on the use of karaoke.

Hindi Poetry was being held in Room 106 for the duration of 2 hours and the participants had 1 hour to write and prepare their poems on the following topics, "Swachta avem samridh Bharat" , "Aswachta ki haaniya" and "Basere se door". The participants had to write a minimum of 1 poem, and the maximum allowed was 3. Each poet had a different view and shared their thoughts and experiences through their poems and narration. For their creativity and skilled narration, the first prize was awarded to Riya, and the second and third prizes were given to Aadrika and Rajat respectively.

The Instrumental event took place in room 127. It was an amazing combination of skill and talent, beautiful music, different instruments and different tunes created by the participants turned musicians. Award for first place was given to Arpan, followed by Keerthana and Jhanvi respectively.
Other than the musical or music related events there were also other interesting and equally exciting and captivating events taking place during the second day of Sanskriti!
The much awaited Street Play took place in front of the Main gate of MCOPS with great pomp. Each group had 4 minutes to perform on a topic given to them just 24 hours prior. This included the setup and narration time. Despite the constraints, every group came out all guns blazing to deliver some amazing performances.
The face painting event took place in room 124, for the duration of 2 hours, with the topics up to the artists and their own limitless imaginations. The participants would also need great clarity , so as to explain their theme or topic to the judges. First place was taken by Akanksha and Nikita, the second and third place were tied between Andrea and Stephanie as well as Pranitha and Shruddha, followed by Arlin and Prerana and Trisha, Sridhar.

JAM, (Just A Minute), took place in room 127. It was an event in which participants were given a minute for which they had to speak with absolute clarity, without repeating themselves, deviating pr hesitating (stuttering, pausing etc). The participants could speak about six different topics of their choosing, the other participants had to have a keen sense of hearing observation and focus, so as to quickly catch and report any of the above issues in their speech pattern, and continue speaking from where the previous participant had left off.

The event was very intense as well as enjoyable. Even the audience was all silent, listening to to each word being spoken by the participants in rapt attention. The first place prize was given to Shruti A, a PharmD student in their fifth year, the second and third places were given to Sanal Simon (5th year PharmD as well) and Shreya Gantayet (3rd year B.Pharm)
Day 2 of the fest would culminate with the Duet Singing event in Room 108, where participants used their voices and synchronized melodies as well as a variety of different songs sung in continuity, to please the ears of the assembled student population and judges alike. A beautiful symphony of voices would sing a large variety of songs, with language not being a barrier. The first, second and third awards were given to the duo of Subbulakshmi and Jenice, to Daksha and Roopa and the third to Rahul and Reema respectively.

As the students left the boundaries of MCOPS behind on their way home, they couldn't wait to get back for the next day despite having exhausted themselves. That's the beauty of a fest like this.
